Robert Burns is a Chartered Financial Planner with 30 years’ experience working in a financial environment starting out as an auditor for PwC. He is part of a team at Beaufort Financial offering a comprehensive service to clients looking for a personal, bespoke approach to their financial affairs. Our services include specialist skills in investment planning, retirement planning, working with business owners and directors, protection planning and tax strategies. Robert’s expertise is in identifying and understanding our clients’ goals before building effective plans and solutions to help achieve them.

At WINN’s Show Me the Money, Robert will explain the importance of understanding your price tag, consideration of how much is enough money and why a financial plan may help.

Steve Harris
Director at Central Finance

Steve Harris, Director at Central Finance, Growth Accelerator coach for Access to Finance & Innovation and board member for the Worcester LEP Access to Finance subcommittee has over twelve years' experience working with businesses to raise finance.

Steve has worked for the UK's largest asset finance broker and was responsible for helping thousands of businesses in his career. His in depth knowledge of finance and alternative funding secured him a significant position at a financial services provider, where Steve helped the business double turnover from £17 million to £35 million in a 14 months period.

Specialising in peer to peer finance and alternative finance, Steve understands a broad range of funding solutions and will advise the right finance package for your business.

Hannah Ross
Proof of Concept Project Manager

Hannah is part of the WINN team at Worcestershire County Council and runs the Proof of Concept (POC) grant fund. POC funding helps local SMEs to develop and protect their early-stage innovative business ideas. Hannah has worked with a huge breadth of businesses to bring many weird, wonderful, and genuinely innovative products to market.

At WINN's 'Show Me The Money' event Hannah will share ideas about how you can fund your next 'lightbulb moment', before showcasing a couple of her favourite POC funded projects. Discover how you can turn your innovation into reality and become Worcestershire's next success story!

Dr Adrian Burden
Founder | Malvern Festival of Innovation

Dr Adrian Burden is a serial technology entrepreneur and author of the business book Start to Exit. He is the founder of the annual Malvern Festival of Innovation and manages the Wyche Innovation Centre on the Malvern Hills.

Trained as a material scientist, over the years he has researched carbonaceous materials, developed advanced electronic displays, and commercialised nanotechnology. Currently he is a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Birmingham and the CTO of the blockchain startup BlockMark Technologies.

Adrian is also Chair of the Industrial Advisory Board at the School of Physics at the University of Bristol. He is now writing his next book titled The A to Z of Innovation.
