Maggie Keeble
GP and Positive Ageing Champion

The Healthy Longevity Dividend
How living longer healthier lives is better for us, our businesses and our communities

Maggie Keeble is a GP with an interest in Ageing in all its forms. As a clinician she supports people at the very end of their lives in care home settings. In her other role as Clinical Lead for Integrated Care for Older People in Worcestershire she has become a passionate advocate for Positive Ageing.

There needs to be a sea change in attitudes in society from seeing old age in negative pessimistic terms with old people being seen and slow and dependant and incompetent to seeing Old Age as a time of freedom ability, independence and wisdom. There are numerous studies which show that a positive mental attitude and certain life style changes have a dramatic impact on life course. We need to confront the last great ‘-ism’ – Ageism – which is rife in our language, culture and business practice and is deeply embedded in our national psyche so much so that we don’t even notice it.

This presentation may not give you the elixir of eternal life but it could change your later life experience and that of those around you.

Project Manager
Digital Innovation for Manufacturing

The entire history of you *
*(if you are a manufacturing machine)

Worcester man, sent to Coventry... but I go willingly and come back with help from your local High value Manufacturing Catapult centre to support Worcestershire’s Manufacturing companies compete, grow and prosper.

I have 30 years’ experience at the coalface of research, development and innovation, using technology to solve problems from the lab, to shop floor and board room. A materials chemist turned technology champion with experience in the technical and commercial side of colour, light, heat, appearance, attraction, data and mind/money altering ideas. Now I work for WMG, University of Warwick as part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult with mission supporting UK manufacturing.

We provide help for companies to use the latest in manufacturing technology and thinking, to help solve the manufacturing challenges of today and get businesses ready for the opportunities of tomorrow. Whether this is help to use the latest in digital manufacturing, automation and industry 4.0 to the forefront of battery technology and electrified connected and autonomous mobility- we can and do help.

Please attend and make contact if you want to know how we can help your business.
